Gary! I have a problem. you see I'm a mechanic for the General, I live in Montreal, Qc Canada. I'm presently finishing my ASEP course. Here's my dilemma, When I try to get GMPP stuff up here, first of all the guys don't know s%#t. Then when I actually take the time to get part numbers from nice places like Sallee Chevrolet and give them the numbers the prices are ridiculous. Example I was looking for a set of sign. series heads, 1490$ US at Sallee. When I ran the numbers with my guy, Guess what 2300$ US. How is this possible???

Canuk, sounds like you dealer is selling at MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price.) Sallee, Pace, Scoggin Dickey, Confederate, and others who are selling via mail order have prices that are well below msrp. Many US dealers export around the world, you may want to check some US dealers and get your stuff mail-order. You can also buy on our web site www.gmgoodwrench.com. (http://www.gmgoodwrench.com.)

You see Gary, the problem lies in the fact that I get cost plus 10%. That means it actually costs more for my Dealer to get the parts. Seems to me it should cost the same thing, actually less since I work there. I don't get why it's cheaper for me to order parts from the U.S. when I work for GM. See my point?

Canuk, GM Performance Parts in Canada is a seperate entity from GM Performance Parts in the US. Canada group is a part of GM of Canada and sets its own pricing, prints its own catalogs (both English and French.) US group does all product development, Canada group markets what we sell here to Canadians. Don't know what to tell you about pricing in Canada, sorry.
