Will be stripping '87 this week and was wondering if this will be a big modification to my '66 which originally didn't come with an A/C?
Thanks in advance.

I would say cutting a foot wide hole in the firewall would be a major modification.. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif especially since the 87 core box looks nothing like the 66 setup.

Better find a '66 donor car. That means never in these islands.
thanks

All of the engine components could work but the evaporator assembly would not fit the dash/firewall of the 66'.
There are 66-67 evap assemblies listed for sale in the parts for sale section of TEAM Chevelle.
Oh wait, thats me thats selling one!
Complete assembly, $200.00, I'll ship it UPS.

Also, looking to purchase a Posi rear-end, 10 or 12 bolt, prefer 3.08 or 3.36 ratio, for a 64 thru 67 Chevelle.

Dennis,
I'll keep that thought in mind. I will have to see if my friend can do the A/C job.

Thanks
