So you've most likely read my post about electrical issues...now I've decided that in December when I have a free month that I'm gonna rewire the car.

Anyone have an electronic form of the wiring schematics for a 68 Elky? As soon as I get this short figured out, I'm gonna need them to help me get everything right in December.

Thanks!

Why not just buy one? NPD has them for $5.25.

Or better yet, get the assembly manual that has the wiring diagrams in it. This way you get much more valuable info too.

BTW, Amanda and Tripleblack, check your e-mail. I'm sending you both some '68 info that I think you'll find interesting...

Amanda, the engine harness is split in half, one is for the engine and the other is the forward lamp harness. The lamp harness is self explanatory but also includes the charging system. Everything else is on the engine harness.IMHO~I would highly recommend purchasing the harness you need and installing it on the car versus splicing in a bunch of wires. Muscle Car Factory usually has a sale on wiring around December, at least they have in the past. I bought all new stuff for my 72 Elky from them.

You might also check out Painless wiring. They've had writeup's in CHP and super chevy a couple of times. They could supply whole car wiring harness' or just the engine compartment. I'm sure they've got the schematics with them...

Painless does NOT have the schematics with the harness and it is NOT a plug and play system. Don't get me wrong.... I am putting one into my Chevelle but it is not Painless if you do not have wiring experience. It is awesome in that it has 18 circuits and is top quality wire. It is not something to do in a weekend!
