: Another fuel line question.

I've been under the assumption that the factory fuel line diameter in a '69 Chevelle small block was determined by the carburetor size. My Malibu convertible has the original 350 engine. The engine code is HF (I'm pretty sure that it is an F and not an E). The carb is a 2bbl and that's correct for the code, but the fuel line is 3/8" diam. Wasn't that used only on 4bbls? What i'm trying to settle here is, did the engine originally have a 4bbl? Maybe it is a code HE? Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich

I was under the assumption that all big blocks had 3/8" and all small blocks 5/16" stock it may have been changed but i have never heard different maybei am wrong though.

69's all had 3/8 except for 307 ci and 6 cylinders. I had a 350 2 barrel car and it had 3/8 and my 307 had 5/16.

Thanks Plain, that makes sense. My other '69 (hdtp) was originally a 307 and it had a 5/16" line until I changed it to 3/8".
Thanks,
Rich
