When you say flywheel do you mean for a manual trans or a flexplate for an automatic, there is a difference and it would be reflected in the price. If it has all the brackets, pulleys and is standard bore or .030 over I would think in the neighborhood of $500.

Start pricing the brackets for a big block alone and you will find out that the brackets will bring several hundred dollars by themselves. If you could get it for $500 you would be getting a good deal. My highest estimate would be $300 for brackets, $150 for rebuildable heads, $150 for the block and $150 for the crank and rods - total of $750.
It all depends on what your intentions are and how you will use it.

I built my 402 (now 414) about 3 months ago. It cost me about $6000. mine was a SB > BB swap.... motor was $4500 easy. I assembled it.
