: Where to get Dif. parts?

I'm looking for side gears and pinion gears for my non-posi differential. I believe these are also known as "spider gears". Unfortunately I can't find a supplier for these. The local parts suppliers are clueless.

Anyone have a source for differential parts?

Try National Drivetrain. They advertise in the car mags and have offices in Las Vegas and Chicago. The prices are right, too. the phone numbers are Chicago 800 507 4327 and for LV it is 888 770 4327. In case that looks odd , the 4327 part is for "GEAR"

It's an 8.2" 10 bolt with 3.73 ratio. Non-posi. E-mail me if your used spiders will fit.

I've put all of the above (plus about 5 others) on a list to call Monday morning. I didn't know Randy's also had the "yukongear" url.

I'm very tempted to just buy a posi. If I can get an Eaton for a good price, I think that's what I'm gonna do.

A friend of mine has a complete 10 bolt out of a 67 chevelle. He would sell dirt cheap if he still has it. Although shipping would be about $100.00 Those should be some what plentiful at a bone yard I would think. At least they are around here. Just my $.02. Good luck!!

Around here you can get anything you want for a Camaro, but not for a classic A-body.

Well, it no longer matters. After calling all over the country (thanks guys!) I'm getting a new posi http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif from Tom's Differentials in California. They beat everyone else's prices by an average of $45. Plus their complete installation kit was about $12 cheaper than everywhere else. I'll be doing the job about 8 days from now, so I didn't need fast shipping or anything. Now I'm excited because my entire driveline from engine to rearend will be completely upgraded!

Thanks, Philip. I really appreciate the offer! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
