l-89..those are open chamber aluminum heads that originally came on zl-1 motors and were offered over trhe counter by the dealers. A complete pair in good rebuildable condition are worth at least 1500-2000$ dollars. If you want to sell I will buy.E-mail me.FYI I was parked next to you in Tenn with my 69 ragtop. Hope to hear from you....Albert

L89SEDAN,
The 3946074 heads are indeed an aluminum, open chamber design. They were used in production applications on the 1969 ZL-1 Corvettes and Camaros (as Albert stated), late 1969 L-88 Corvettes (typically those built after June 1969), and 1971 LS-6 Corvettes. These heads were also available from the parts counter for many years until they were replaced with the 077 head (which had a superior exhaust port to the 074).
Price depends on condition and casting date (although the date can't be seen when the head is installed, it does factor into price from what I have seen). A set of bare, undamaged/unsurfaced 074 heads with early 1969 dates usually bring prices in the $1200 range.
