: What's a clock delete look like?

My sweep dash Malibu's got a clock-ish thingy where the clock is supposed to go, it's the background for a clock, no numbers on it, and no holes for the clock hands. Never taken the dash apart, so never checked for a physical clock behind it. Is that what a clock delete plate looks like? Or is this something real fishy?

lev,

That's exactly what the dask of my 70 looks like. No numbers, no hole. There's nothing back there on my car, I've been up there and looked.

Yep, that's what I have seen clock deletes look like. I havea 67 chevelle with the exact same thing in the dash. I got a clock in my stereo, so I am ripping out the delete, and putting a custom mini-tach in it's place.

atta boy Joe!! I was hoping I wouldn't have to dig for that picture.

LEV, I say you do what CopperTop did. I think that is pretty sweet. Shifting our BBs by ear is pretty tuff! His looks much better than the column mount kind. Does anyone actually look at their in-dash clocks?? even if mine worked I wouldn't have used it. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/cool.gif
