i have a stock hei, and am thinking of running an MSD 6a, or the complete 6a kit with their coil, what are the advantages, and will i even see them with daily driving, I HATE it when the engine misses, will this clear it up totaly, and is it worth the $$ on a 454 4spd.

Engine misses? I run a mild 427 w/a GM HEI,Accel coil/module and have NO problems..if you're getting a miss,I'd check your wires...even with bone stock HEI's with the factory coil,I've never seen problems..I've taken my combo to 6,800 RPM'S plenty of times, with no probs. The only benefit I'd see you getting with an MSD (if you got the 6AL) would be the rev limiter.

I didn't have any problems with my stock HEI. but I never really wound it out.
I run the MSD-HEI setup with a 6AL. I assume it helps me out. I have 10.7cp and run 110 at the track, complete/quick burn in the chamber is very KEY to making HP. If you race your car buy one, if you don't NO since bothering with it.
Also, if you run at the track and like you motor, get a rev limitter! Wisest ignition desicion I ever made!

Usually, if you have a miss with any kind of electronic ignition, the culprit is plugs and/or wires. But the cap could have some small cracks or carbon tracks, and the coil could be a little weak.
