Anybody welded up their own headers?
If so what kind of welder did you use?
This is kind of my last option - either that or disconnect my a/c. I have a 95 LT1 and the a/c compressor mounts too low on the passenger side to have the hoses clear the header tubes.

Thanks
Steve

I havent but for clean welds you would want to use a tig or "mini arc". Basically strike an arc, melt the two pieces together and use filler rod as needed. They work great and make super clean welds.. but if you cant get ahold of one a mig would work, just would spend more time grinding the welds down. I believe hooker sells header kits with curves and such for home made headers.
