Hi, I want to put SS stripes on my 72 Monte Carlo which has a cowl hood. Is there a good way to do this? I know the trunk lid is the same but i'm concerned with the hood. Does it look sharp? Any help is greatly appreciated.
By the way, if you're a 70-72 Monte Carlo fan check out this website about these great cars. http://www.members.carol.net/kevinwiles/monte.htm
THANKS

one more thing... this car has light tan interior. I was thinking black with gold SS stripes but what do you think would look nice with tan int. Red is out of the question.

For my dollar, my 72 Monte won't have any stripes at all on the cowl hood. I want that sucker as sleepy looking as I can get it. I'm even putting all the trim back on. BUT NO VINYL TOP! @#$^&)(%^#!!!!! OH THAT'S UGLY!
I want those Rice Boys and nag jockies (Mustangs)to think I'm driving grandma's luxobarge to get her some Metamucil.

umkcc sir crunch , i thought about doing some s.s. stripes myself . if i do , they would be ghost stripes over a fresh black paint job. there was a picture i have seen in a auto modeling mag of a 1/24 scale model monte carlo that some guy did that was painted white w/ hugger orange stripes , '69 camaro rs headlight covers , '70-'72 chevelle "power bulge" cowl hood , 8" rallys and a 427 between the plastic little fenders . i thought it was pretty neat lookin .
btw , that's my monte in the photo album under " johansson's '72 monte carlo "
