The value varies from person to person and according to availability. I have picked up 2 70-72 12-bolt open rears in this last year. One was $100 with 2.73 gears and perfect axles and good brakes, the other was $125 with 3.08 (3.07) gears and it also had good axles and brakes! I have seen people pay good money for the complete rear end with good axles, up to $350. But if the housing does not have axles and is stripped down, I would only pay about $25-50 for it. Axles are not cheap and then the bearing kit will cost and the labor and the gears, etc....

If the posi unit is in good shape, it is worth around $150-$250, considering it is complete. Other people might pay more, but I wouldn't.

Yeah Justin, I would say no more than 200, preferably 150. And I'd start by showing only one picture of Ben Franklin. Amazing how pictures of dead presidents get people to sell. It's one of those deals that'll cost you ALLOT more to get right. But they ain't making the housings anymore.

So I say bring one picture of Franklin, 1 of Grant and a few of Jackson.
