Someone from school just traded me his 350 heads for a pair of my firebird seats, I thought good deal. The heads have the #870 stamped on the base, what heads are these? He said they were off a 71' chevelle. BTW, the heads would have only cost me 25 bucks anyway, as long as they fit my 350 its no big loss to me.

My Small Block resource book indicates heads #3782870 used on 327CI engines from 1962-67, including Corvettes.

Hmm, he is building a Corvette engine for his nova, maybe he got confused with the parts..... oh well, if they are the 327 heads they will fit the 350 right?

yes but they don't have the holes for the brackets that the long style water pump uses.
