I am finally getting my car together. I am going to run a Mallory 140 electric pump, to 1/2" hard line to the front of the car, with a 3/8" return line to the stock tank. I want to keep the car looking as stock as possible. I know that the pump should be gravity fed but I don't want to install a sump in the stock gas tank and take away from the stock look. Looking to hear from your expeiences, good and bad, with using the stock pickup with the electric pump. Also I was planning on modifying the pickup with a 1/2" feed, who does this type of work? Any and all information appreciated.

Onthegas, this question was asked very recently and here's the link:

As far as the 1/2 pick-up tube goes, back when I used the stock gas tank pick-up, I bent some 1/2" aluminum tubing and JBWelded it into and thru the pick-up assembly plate. Drilled a hole right next to the exhisting pick up and bent the new tube to the exact shape as the stocker. Slid it through and welded it in. Worked very well...until the pump went out on me.
