I am performing an engine swap in my 84 El Camino, I am installing a 1991 5.7L TBI with a 4L60 and need a new Wireing Harness. Has any one done this before? Which brands are good, and I need one with a VSS. I would like to keep the Engine/Transmition wiring completely seperate from the chase wiring. I am folowing
the instructions from the JTR engine swapping book but would like some more info. Any Help???

only heard this, not first hand experience, but Painless Wiring in Ft.worth is pretty good , but it's cheaper to buy from summit or jegs NOT directly from them.

Punkt, The place to get the harness from is Howell Eng Development. I don't have their # right here with me, but I'm sure someone will post it.
The owner is a former GM engineer who designed the harness'.
