On a 69 El Camino big block, I have to remove the factory air conditioning system. I was wondering if it will just pull of the fire wall with the removal of a couple of easy access bolts, or if it is a little more involved. Are there any hidden bolts behind the fender that might require the removal of the fender or splash shield?

If you are just going to change the evaporator, it is tight but doable. The right hand (looking at the evap case) half has a hand full of screws that go into the firewall and a few more that hold it to the other half of the case. If you want to remove the entire evap. case, you'll have to remove the inner fender (& rf tire would make it easier). Good luck.

VERY NICE, but not in the way, although it will be a pain to replace the plugs.
