Anybody know what a sqeaking noise would be coming from the clutch might mean? The sounds only happens when the clutch pedal is pressed in. It can be in gear or neutral, and it does it. Any insights?

My old Chevelle used to squeak when I would depress the clutch pedal, it was the fingers depressing on the pressure plate. Nothing to worry about that I can think of.

Yah, I don't think it's anything major, it performs like it should. Just annoying. Thanks for the input.

Could be a bad throwout bearing ? http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif
Is the clutch/bellhousing new ? Could be hitting something? http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif
Have someone depress it while you listen under the car and try to determine the type of noise (scraping squeal, grinding squeak) OR - - - it may be no problem, but I would at least listen closely, then monitor it as time goes on ! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

I would first suspect the throwout bearing.
