I would like to take the chrome knobs off from my heater control panel in order to install a new lens. I thought they just pulled off but I have had no success. Is there something I need to know?

Pull harder! They do pull off, probably got stuck on there pretty good after all these years. BTW, where did you get the new lens?

I got my heater lens from Ausley's Chevelle Parts. Came with the black paper background as well.

What worked for me was heating the knobs a little with a hair dryer before pulling them off.

True Connections, hmm, wasn't that a women's magazine? http://www.chevelles.com/forum/rolleyes.gif The reason I asked about getting a new heater lens is because Ausley's sent me a lens with a defect, then sent another with the same defect. I sent them both back, and they told me they are all like that ("Y" shaped hairline at one end of one of the slots) and until the mfg. corrects it that's all they have. I tried Year one and OPG and they don't carry them, so I started to wonder if maybe ther's only one co. making them and there ALL like that. Anyone find something better?
Thanks,
Rich
