Has anybody used these new kind of plugs on their car? If so, is there an exceptional difference in the performance of the engine, improved gas mileage, etc.? One plug cost $6.00.

I have looked at these and do not see a big benfit in them. The platinum part is a good thing, as it will reduce the voltage demand on the ignition coil and they do last a long time (not usually a concern for a hobby car), but the 4 ground side electrodes will likely not improve your performance in any noticeable way. This style of spark plug has been used in airplanes for many years, but has not shown any big benefit in car engines.

"One plug cost $6.00"...probably consists of $1.25 for manufacturing costs, and $4.75 to cover marketing blitz. Only in America!

Wes, you got that one right. Listen guys, DON'T believe for one minute that any exotic spark plug will increase your performance.
