What is the largest wheel / tire combo for the rear of 1966 Malibu w/ stock 12 bolt?

I have a 67 and it has 295/60/15, 15x10 chrome rallys on the back. They scuff just a touch on big bumps and with the back seat full. It does not tear up the tire or wheel well, but I'll be taking them off.

Anyone want to buy them?

Hey Bill, what's the backspacing on the 15x10" 's? Maybe a 10" wide wheel would work with 5" backspacing?

I've run 15x8" Corvette ralleys with 4 1/2" backspacing (I think) with 295/60's with plenty of room. Never had any luck with bigger/wider tires on my 66.

On my '67 Elcamino I've had 275x15 on 15x9 (w/4-1/2" offset) Cragers, but when I went to the 15x10 (w/5"offset) the 275x15's were a hair to wide. However, this was with rear disc brakes which will add approx. 1/4" to each side.

I'm not sure how much differance there is between the Chevelle & Elcamino model's http://www.chevelles.com/forum/confused.gif
