I have installed aeroquip braided lines and an fittings. The problem is I can't stop the fuel leaks. I used the locktite thread paste but it still leaks. What are you using that works? Once the leaks stop I am back on the road again......help

Where are you leaking from? Is it @ the AN fittings? Did you assemble the hoses? Are they leaking where the hoses attach to the AN fittings. On our aircraft we install the fittings dry. I've seen tiny "shims" placed on the tips of the fittings to stop leaks. I guess you know these are 37 degree fittings and are not compatible with brass fittings or NPT.........

You should not use any thread paste with AN fittings, they should be installed dry. Are the hose ends installed properly on the hose? Or is then fitting leaking to whatever it is attached to. As staed above AN 37° fittings are not compatible with standard 45° brass fittings

The leaks are coming from the 3/8 npt threads. The an side is working great but where you screw the 3/8 npt thread side in to the regulator which is 3/8 npt as well it leaks out around the threads. thanks in advance........

It may need a rubber o-ring maybe.

Try teflon tape on the NPT threads......

There is no place for an o-ring and I have tried teflon tape. Thanks for the suggestion though! Any other ideas?....

69bigblock;
Go to a plumbing supply or hardware store and get a bottle of Leak Lock. It is made by Highside Chemicals and is used for sealing threads(also known as joint compound). It is blue in color and comes in a 4 oz. bottle with a brush built into the cap. It works great, apply it evenly to the threads and tighten the fittings together and let dry. Just don't get it on anything else,it's difficult to get off.
