I just bought a 12 bolt posi that i was told was for a 68 chevelle, but after measuring it i find out it is for a 67. Will this bolt right up to my 68? Also it has the pigtail for the spring mount.

thanks,

Lucky, your in luck. I have HEARD ( not persoanlly experienced) that they are identical except for a slight difference in width. The 64-67 are just a bit narrower. Bigger meats. Good deal.

Genes right, it will fit no problem. I have done this myself before.

Lucky, good post!
I'm in the same boat (bucket?). I haven't posted this question yet because I'm not ready to install the rear, but since it's here....
The interchange site
http://www.angelfire.com/tx/lonestarclassics/chassis.html

says the upper control arms are different lengths. Do you need to use the uppers that match the rear end ('67), or the uppers that match the chassis? Year-One has two part numbers for their arms(64-67 vs. 68-72).

I have a 68 in my 67, no problem. I used the control arms from the 67. The only thing is the 68 rear is like 3/4 inch longer then the 67.
