I have a 3/4 ton Chevy P/U for towing the Chevelle. I need front shocks. Any comments?

Depends on whether or not its 4 wheel or 2 wheel drive. If 4 wheel a nice set of Rancho's would suffice. I've got a lower'd '97 half ton that uses toxic drop shocks all the way around with no real problem hauling my receiver hitch car trailer. Just my 1/2 cent of knowledge

I'd personally go for a nice set of Rancho RS5000's. Nice shock. I wouldn't go for the RS9000's. Too much money and unless your racing you don't need the adjustments. The Black Diamond XT series are nice. Almost identical to Rancho's but they come polyurethane bushings. A friend of mine runs gabriels, had good luck, tows a 23ft trailer. Most of my other friends and I run Rancho's.

After putting RS5000's on my '77 K20, I found that the shocks were effective, but the ride got harsher than it was before--those old 3/4 tons don't ride like a Caddy to begin with. Just FYI
