I need a rev limiter so I'm trying to decide on which way to go. The Craine HI-6 has an adjustable limiter, MSD has the plug-ins.
Has anyone got any suggestions? And what distributor would you pick?

I'm using MSD for everything. You can get a dial (plug in)for the MSD to set your limit. I can't think of any reason I'd change the limit while driving, so the chip works fine for me.

I've used MSD products since '79. The original MSD 5 I bought then was trouble free until '88. At that time, I sent it back to the factory with a $35 (maybe $25, I don't remember!) check, and it was repaired. Worked fine years later, when I sold the car it was on. I took it off the car, and it's still in my garage on my "used parts" shelf. I'm completely satisfied. None of my other MSD stuff has ever died.

The chips in my 6AL are a pain in the ass... if you change them often. I don't and I don't think most folks do. You choose a limit speed and stuff the chip in. Then forget about it! Still, if I were buying any box today, it'd be the new Digital 6.
