Here it goes....
10B= Build Date was October, 2nd week

ST 66-13617-1797=
66(1966)
13617(STyle Malibu Sport Coupe 8cly)
1797 (Sequence #-should be one more digit)

TR 761A FF PNT=
TRim
761(SS Trim Black Vinyl) GOOD SIGN!!
FF(Marina Blue)FF is two digit for bottom/top of body colour are "F" Marina Blue.

2L and 4F= There is a note in my book which states certain body plates had one or two odd codes. These have not been decoded.

Engine Code on head:T-Ioo8eah
T= Tawanda Plant
1008= October 08
EAH=
EA(Engine code for 1966 327 with 4 barrel carb and manual transmission)
H- This must be TWO digits. HP is High Performance so hope to see a "P"

"Figured it is from Framingham?"
You lost me.
"What signifigance is the 10 B at the top?"
That's the Build date code as you stated it in your post.
"What does 2L and 4F stand for."
Covered above.

The interior and exteriour are correct
The engine sounds correct, but look on the side of block and match the last 6 digits of VIN on the block!!

Sounds good to me!

Thanx for the help so far guys! What side of the block is the Vin number found and which numbers should match? The Fra in the number means the car was supposedly built in Framingham? Not sure I know where this is. I've had chevys with T for tarrytown NY and B for Baltimore Md. Where is Framingham? Would a cnvenience group item include a remote outside mirror? Thanx again for the help! Please let me know about the location of the engine number.

Framingham, Mass

The vin should be stamped in one of two locations. On the front pad w.the engine application code T-Ioo8eah or down near the oil filter stamped vertically on the rough surface of the bellhousing flange. Very hard top see unless you clean the area well. It was designed to be hard to see and alter.

More numbers...... need more help!!!!!!
Vin # is 136176-G-103665
Engine # from the drivers side near the bell housing.. cast # 8858130
This with all the previous postings my question is....is this a numbers matching car? What do these numbers signify? Thanx for all the previous help!

#'s matching normally means that the last sequence of the engine number matches the VIN ending sequence. In your case the engine ID number, stamped on the flat spot just under the right cylinder head at the front, would be T-I008EAH103665. After this basic match, then all the parts and pieces are matched by part number and date. I'm thinking that the casting # you listed is really 3858180 (look closely) that would be a 64-67 327 Block ID.

thanx for your help. the numbers on the pasenger head end with the EAH at the very end of the space. there is no room for the vin numbers. does this mean it could be bogus? or did they do some that way?
Hmmmmm. Thanx again,
John

The VIN on your cowl MUST match the last digits of the block stamping.
If they are unreadable- it may have been messed with.
Tell us- is this a #matching car?

Thanx for the help, so far haven't been able to get under the car to find the matching numbers. all I found was rust in the body mounts behind the rear wheels. that could be a problem!!
