Anyone know what the correct throttle return spring (or springs)was for a 70 SS396 with Q-Jet? The one from Ground Up advertised for 69-up (ATE-0068) is a double spring, but the springs are longer than the distance from the throttle arm to the throttle cable bracket where the one end of the spring is supposed to go. Don't think they're right. I can probably modify the springs by cutting them off and reforming the hooks, but did the 70s use a double spring, and if so,were they silver and blue like the ones from Ground Up?

I had the same problem with the Ground Up double spring, it was too long. I ended up cutting one spring and rebending it (blue one) and running the other spring (silver one) to the front engine lift bracket. This is only temporary. Im planning on checking out a stock setup at a car show and then asking the owner where he got it. Other catalogs show only 1 spring, I dunno which is correct.
