Anybody try the repo levers for the heat & A/C controls yet?

I broke the second of the three levers on my car this weekend while cleaning it up for the annual Pete & Jakes cruise nite at Hooters. Now I gotta fix em all.

I see that OPGI has a complete set(didn't find any in the Ground Up catalog) and wanted to know if anyone has tried them and are they any good.

AJ, Seems like I just saw the OPGI ones your talking about in the latest Chevy High Performance and I think it said that ones they carry are gaurenteed not to break. I can't find it but I'll keep looking for it. Mine never worked very well and I would like to replace them too. They seem to get caught on one another, how about yours? Dave.

I put that kit on from Year One on my 67',I think it was about $99. It's much better that original. The levers are bent up from solid steel, NOT pot metal. I think they have to be at lease twice as strong as original. Take your time and follow the directions provided. You should have no problems. If your cables are out of your car it a good idea to lube them as well, they get stiff at times!

Thanks for the reply's. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif I will look for the back issue of CHP to look for tips.

I think at least one of the cables is bound up. (middle one that loops behind the glove box) I will see what I can do to free them up with some graphite chain lube or some silicone spray.

Got my complete set of AC levers for the '67 from a man called Garry at Heater Control Repair.
1-559-323-1500. Worked great!!
