Hello, I have a factory GM aluminum square port big block intake that I can't find any information on. None of my books list the part number which is 6269318. If anyone knows the factory application I sure would appreciate the information. Thanks, victor@windo.missouri.org
It must be somewhat rare because "Chevrolet By The Numbers" doesn't list it but another sousce I have shows it to be for '68-'69 396-427.

I'll couble check the numbers when I get home, but I'm 99% sure it is 68-69 390hp/427 ONLY (that's the low-hp 427). It should be a low rise and have a Q-jet bolt pattern. Right? Yes, it's kind of rare, but not much value because it isn't really a performance intake. Basically, it's the alum version of a stock cast iron intake.

Tom, wouldn't the 390 horse intake be an oval port? Thanks, victor

Right. I think sometimes square and oval get used synonomously, which is the smaller ports from rectangular port. When I get home and check this number, then I will know for sure. It is VERY possible that I'm all wrong.
