I have a 70 Chevelle with the original paint job that is in good condition, couple nicks here and there. But overall really nice. I wanted to get some opinions on having her repainted a different color, that is, what would this do to the value of the car. She is gold right now with gold interior. Would like to paint her white. Depends on what you plan to do with the car. If you want to ever sell it as original, you're gonna be SOL. If you just plan to have it as a driver and sell it as such, it shouldn't matter much.

Keep in mind that paining a different color is a lot more work (and expense) than doing the same color. There needs to be quite a bit more attention to detail in order to make sure that none of the older paint is visable.
