There was a spring on my passengers side headlight, but not on my driver side. Do I need these on the headlights, or can I just leave them off? The only difference that I noticed is that the driver's side one, is looser and doesn't stay adjusted, while the passenger side is steady. Where could I get these at if they are deemed necessary...

all cars have these. you should be able to get them at any auto parts store. One on my truck broke a few years back and the headlight was rattling around in the housing. I just went to Pep Boys for a new one.
