Would like to take the body off of my 67 but I do not have all of the fancy lifts and such. Can anybody give me some suggestions on how to do this? I am not doing a concourse retore but still would like to sandblast and change lines and such. Thanks

I'm not sure if you consider 2 chain hoists fancy at $50.00 each, but you can check out the body section of my webpage to see how I lifted my '72. Link is Below.

5 or 6 strong and willing friends is how I did it. Be sure that your floors can take the stress of being separated, so you don't tweak anything.

I use ratchet type come-alongs, $20-30 each at any swap meet...hook em to the ceiling beams in the garage and hook one to each end of the body and lift (this is with the car gutted and light as possible)..they also work great for setting the body down slowly to line everything up on reinstallation.
