Well my Elky is finally back up and running, but after following my dad back from the shop (I was in my truck) I noticed that the left rear wheel (the same side that hit the curb) has a slight wobble to it. Its nothing serious, but does anyone know what the cause of this could be?? Slightly bent wheel?? Bent lugs?? Thanks for any help!!

Cerainly the wheel is a candidate for replacement. Make sure you check the axle flange for runout , too.

The fool who I bought my 71 Cutlass from was doing doughnuts and wacked a curb with the right rear. He didn't bend the aluminum vette rim, but he sure bent the axle flange. mount a different rim on that side and see if it still wobbles.

Its most likely a wheel.. take it to Discount Tires and they'll put it on the balancer and you can see for sure if its the wheel, and if so how much out of balance it is.. its best to balance the wheel and keep it on the right-rear corner - the furthest from the driver (so you wont feel it) and never on the front...

My Grand Cherokee does this. Has a bent axle. Swapping wheels has no effect. Hope you just have a bent rim.

Hopefully its just the rim guys, but I've already spent so much fixing this car. Is it really necessary to get it fixed right away, or can I get away with it till I come up with some extra dough. I can't really tell of any difficulty in driving it because of the wobble, but its just the thought of a wheel wobbling unsightly and wearing down my BFGoodrich radials. Any thoughts??

Let's hope it's the wheel and not the axel. you can put a skinny spare on for a short while. But if it is the axel it ain't gonna do the bearings or splines any good. If it is the axel you can take .010-.020 off the flange face if that will clean it up.
