On a 67 big block how much clearance should there be between the tips of a stock 7 blade fan and the inner circumference of the shroud? I can just see the torque of engine lifting against the motor mounts and pushing the tips of the fan into the shroud.

thats a real good question because i just put a 7 blade fan, clutch and shroud on my 70 396. this is the kit from ground up, and you can put your finger between the blade and the shroud all the way around. I dont think the original 5 blade fan had any more room than that, and I never had any problems
