69ragtop Jul 1st, 00, 2:50 PM I just purchased my 1st chevelle "ragtop" project.I rebuilt the Q-jet replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter (clear kind) and Im seeing alot of rust come through the filter. Ive heard there is a company that has products to eliminate rust in tanks and recoat them.can anyone tell me where I can find quality products for this or should I just fish out the $$ for a new tank. thanks 66 bowtie Jul 1st, 00, 3:33 PM Welcome to the site. Just went through this on my 66. The stuff you add in your tank is called Por 15 Gas tank selent. I bought some for my tank then got to thinking and decided to buy the new thing. I ended up taking it to a gas tank place and he said it was pretty bad but could be saved. Once I got to thinking about new fuel lines, pump and such it just seemed right to buy the new tank. It really all depends on how far gone your tank is.
