Where do you guys usually find the build sheet on your Chevelle's? My Chevelle is a 72 SS do the years the Chevelle's were produced make a difference where the build sheet is placed?
Thanks,

You can find them in various places such as: 1. glued behind door panels, 2. stuffed into a seat cushion, 3. on the gas tank, 4. under the dash, etc. Some cars don't have a build sheet, some have 2 or 3. It depends on the assembly line workers; they either throw them away or stuff them into the car as it's built.

Everyone I ever found was under the seats. In my area, the cars are from the Baltimore plant so maybe other plants are different.

Trouble is the mice usually get them first! But ever so often you get lucky.

Good luck.

I found two build sheets in my 70 SS. One was glued to the back of a door panel, the other was in the glove box (mustve been located by previous owner). My car was built in Atlanta.

I will do a build sheet search with my car, but if you trace the owner and find the dealer that it was bought at, some have records of the dealer order sheet- I have one of those and it shows all the options and is just as valid as a build sheet for proving originality.
The last owner of my car traced it to a dealer in idaho and they had it on file from 30 years ago!!
So, there is more than one way to skin a Chevelle!
Good luck
