This is not a joke. Go to http://drag-city.com/ and cast your vote for the location of a new So Cal dragstrip.

I made my vote and posted a few messages on the board.

The thing is... If you are going to make me drive 2 hours each way to a track I better get some run time in. Otherwise... well I don't know.

I just hate it when I go to Pomona and get 2 runs in all day. And I am there for 8+ hours.

And I don't know about you guys, but I prefer 1/4 mile to 1/8 mile. It is just too short.

I voted! See Temecula? That's my city! It's just a bunch of old guys with fast arse old cars! I voted for South Riverside County. I want it in Sun City or Menifee where there's nothin' there. Temecula wouldn't allow it unless it was on the outskirts of town. Gets to about mid-80s- low 100s(temp). I went up to Pomona once...my arse. Had to wait so frickin' long my friend just left the long line. I say they build 2 strips side by side...well far apart but close tto each other, then it would go twice as quick.

Pssst...wanna know who skewered the proposed Rialto dragstrip (with the lure of a bogus $51m motorplex)? My best guess is that the front man for the bogus proposal could be tied back to the NHRA - which does not want the IHRA in "their" backyard.

I was wondering what was happening with the Rialto strip. I work for a city. It doesn't surprise me. All you have to do is to look at the least logical solution and that is the one the city government will pick. This is frustrating. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/mad.gif I hope something pans out somewhere.

hmm a strip a little closer to home would be REALLY nice.. I think temecula would be a pretty good place or maybe somewhere a little more south but I cant think of where there's room for one....

Howdy ;) I know its not on the location list, but i allways thought that there was plenty of room out around the Fontana area. Oh well,I did vote for the Victorville area, only because I lived in the high desert for a few years,,, and things that happen out that way seem to be a bit cheaper and a little more relaxed. I hope I havent stepped on anyone elses hopes (ideas) on where a strip should be built. I am in full support of the idea1 and hope that it is built where most of You guys really want it! I just wanted to add that as a kid growing up in east Long beach, I will never forget going to bed on a friday or saturday night ,, and faintly in the distant night I could hear the cars, dragsters, ,running the 1/4 mile.
