I recently bought a 1970 Malibu Sport Coupe.
I have two children (3 and 6) that I would like to be able to put in the back seat. Problem is that only lap belts are there. I want to install a shoulder harness set back there. I need either a later model set that might fit, or where to get aftermarket ones.

As early as 1969 and perhaps earlier there was options AS4 deluxe and AS5 standard for rear seat shoulder belts. They bolted down through the parcel shelf into a threaded plate. I've only seen one set and they were on a .70 Buick GS350. The two holes are already there on each side. I think front seat shoulder belts would probably work but might have to be shortened a little. I don't think these belts are suited to such small people.
