Just wanted to know if the grille on a 68 malibu was painted silver from the factory (i mean left silver not painted) or was there some black on the grille thankx

My 68 bu's grill I owned in 83 was original and the grill was silver(unpainted). However the corner pieces were painted. The pattern was little black squares to simulate the mesh that was not painted between the headlights. Kind of like it was wrapping around the corners. Hope this helps.

I didn't understand @ first but then i saw a chevelle on the web for some show and i figured outw hat ya meant.
