Hey guys, i am looking at the MSD super conductor wires for the new bbc and was wondering what angle i should get on the plug boots. It will be coming off an hei and fit over tall valve covers. Also what type of wire looms do you guys use/recommend. Specifics or part numbers would be awesome, thanks.

I ended up using accel 300+ wires with a coumplete MSD system. They have and adjustable boot that can be bent at any angle needed to clear each individual tube. They are very heat resistant and have held up nicely for the last 4 years.

I used the MSD Super Conductors with the straight boots. You can bend them to clear the headers. The wires I bought are the universal set which I cut to fit my HEI and loom setup. I used the "Made for you" vertical looms out of Summit performance. I think the look is pretty sweet but I agree with most on this forum that have these in that it's pretty lame that they don't give you a loom clip for the #1 and #2 plugs. Take a look at my motor pic in the showroom:

I have no problems with straight boots and using the factory valve covers/wire seperators.

i have the accel wires that you make up yourself. there are 90 deg. boots at the dist. and straight at the plugs. i don't remember the name of the looms but there from summit and they run along the bottom of the valve cover and share two of those bolts. there is no problem with heat from the headers at all (same as yours) neat looking set up.
ps use dielectric (sp) grease when putting the boots on, much eaiser. i use it on the plug ends to support better conections.
that's a great project.
