I own a 70 454 chevelle w/4 speed and a 67 327 chevelle with a powerglide. What are the actual vehicle weights of these cars with fluids, gas......?? I can't find this information anywhere. Thanks!

I have a copy of the "Chevelles Buyers Guide". And in that it says a 67 SS 396 was 3415lbs, doesn't say which tranny it had. So subtract a little for the 327. And the SS has a slightly heavier chassis.

And a 70 Malibu sport coupe weighs 3309, now that doesn't have the BB or the SS chassis

I don't know if that is with or without fluids. But these numbers came from a published book. They are probably right. I don't think our cars are as heavy as most people think

I think those weight values are unladen (meaning no fluids or passengers). Also, you'll need to add a few pounds for the radio, air conditioning (if you have it), and little stuff like that. If you call 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet Customer Service) and ask for a restoration packet, they will send you one for FREE (good price!) http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif. All the info you want will be contained in the packet. Just have your VIN handy for both cars and I'm sure they'll send one for both. Hope it helps. Good luck!

I've got a 67SS convert, BB, PS, AM\FM and TH400 for options (all numbers matching stuff). This spring it came in at 3845# with 1/4 tank of gas, spare tire and my 200 or so pounds behind the wheel.
FWIW my 68 GTO, 400/TH400, AC, PS, Hide-aways, spare tire with about 1/4 tank of gas with me again behind the wheel came in at a svelt 3965#.
