Well I just purchased a 72 Chevelle that needs only a little work. The body work is nice but a couple of the engine parts are shot. The carb is completely gone just waiting to trash it and also the intake manifold too. I was wondering if these carbs are good choices for my 72 Chevelle Malibu. What i really want is the most low end boost i can get. Here are the choices I have for my new Carb and Intake Manifold

Carb: Edelbrock Performer Q-Jet w/750cfm and divorced choke.

Manifold: Edelbrock Performer manifold
PERFORMER RPM Q-JET

Now if anyone has any better suggestons for me that are not too expensive please reply to me.. thanks

For low end boost, the Q-Jet & Performer manifold are recommended.

You did not say what engine or trans. you have, but this should answer your question.

I have heard alot of negitive responce from the Edlebrock carbs,,, not sayin that they are not a good priduct,, just havent heard much good about em,,,being an OEM nut I would go with the modified Q Jet,,and factory high rise intake,,, Good Luck L89SEDAN
