Hey congratulations!
Your'e in for some fun, espessialy when they get a little older. My daughter is almost 3 already, She already knows about doing a frame off restoration on a 72 Chevelle. Kinda scary when you think about it.
Good luck! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Enjoy it for all it's worth. My "baby girl" turned 21 last weekend, and her boyfreind asked me for her hand in marriage. (wedding next fall) She graduates next summer from Georgia Tech with a mechanical engineering degree. She has started helping me on my '67 SS project. Seems like yesterday she was playing with Strawberry Shortcake.

Scott, make sure your wife is acutely aware of the fact that girls have better hand/eye coordination than boys, read that as, Cassie may be better at the christmas tree than P.J.in reaction time. Girls can be motorheads too, particularly racers! Good luck with those sleepless nights too. Hopefully she'll get into the sleep routine quickly.

Hey Gene I think I got lucky with this one my wife called me last night from the hospital and said she is a sound sleeper like her old man and her brother (whew!) And P.J. is already planning on teaching her about cars and everything else he's into. He is one proud big brother. He told me we have to find a chevelle for her cause he gets the 67 when he's old enough.

Congrats Scott!! As you already know, the fun is just beginning. My wife has already started complaining that I too am corrupting our 2 years old daughter who loves to help Daddy with his 71 SS. She will actually crawl uder the car with me and hand me tools!! It's too Cool!! But her favorite thing is to sit behind the wheel, pretend she's driving and yell "Wheeee".(Don't know where she got that from...) Should I be worried or like Gene put it get her going on the practice tree soon??!!

All right! One more person to carry on the love of Chevelles. You'll have to teach her to outdrive all her guy friends when she gets older. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Congrats! Did she like her ride home? These guys are right there's nothing like a new life they are so precious. There's nothing wrong with teaching girls how to work on a car, thats how I learned, my dad told me to tear the engine down from a motor that I blew. I still like to tinker on cars when I have the chance. My son has carried that on except he works on FORDS. Enjoy those moments while there little.

Jul 29th, 99, 6:23 AM
Thanks for the reply Beverly, I have to get them in a couple of hours. She should enjoy the ride it always calmed her down when she was kickin and movin around while my wife was pregnant. I think she enjoys the rumble of the flowmasters!

Scott, I know my 2 yr old likes the vibration of my litle rat(396) through those solid motor mounts as well. Although in the Chevelle his " Daddy go fast", is " Daddy go fast, not too fast". Have a great weekend with your newest!

Scott67
Jul 29th, 99, 8:35 AM
Thanks Gene you have a good weekend too.Me and P.J. are gonna get some Go Fast out of our system going to pick Mom and Cassie up, then it's casual cruisn on the way home.

Scott, That lecture should take place while your cleaning the ol' 12 ga. My daughter shows more interest in working in the garage with me than either of my sons. I guess I should build her the fastest car. i like seeing the lady gearheads here we need more of them.
