Hi everyone, I'm new to this board and I'm currently working on a '68 Elky.

Here's my problem. I just pulled a 307 from the car getting ready to drop in my 383 :cool: and it seems the previous owner has welded in in the motor mounts. The car was orininally a 6cyl based on the vin. I want to replace the mounts before I drop in the new engine. I'm not sure what I should do. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Some careful work with one of those 4" disc right-angle grinders should take care of the welds. Then pry those off, and dress up what's left. Some "rattle-can" black, the correct mounts, a few bolts and you're good to go.
