Maybe coincidence but several cars/trucks have disappired while having work done at local shops, they seem to resurface missing most of the high demand parts. In the two cases I personaly know of the shop owner didnt seem to be too upset and just handed it over to the insurance co. I was just looking at the stolen alert and noticed a similar case, maybe its just me but it looks like some places want more than just your business. Something else to be aware of.

that happened to my brother's pick-up while getting some tranny work done to it. seems the high torque mini starter and battery was mysteriously swapped out with some junk yard pieces. sorry little shop.

if so someone should send in there car to the place have a friend sort of hang around and see if they change em then call the cops. think anyone who would do that or even steal a car should be assasinated but that is my opinion because my dads truck was taken once and they never found the dumbasses that took it (truck was a rite off) i say if they steal it and get caught during the process kill the b@#$@*ds!!!!! again my opinnion.

Yeah Bowtie, hate to admit it, but I'm with you. Don't lie cheat or steal or tolerate those who do. If it happened to me the boys would be talking to me and Mr. SuperBlackhawk with .44 cal 270 gr Gold Dots. I'd make 'em deficate my parts on the spot.
Let the legal chips fall where they may. Too much of that BS going around these days. Someone has to draw the line.

You bringing this up reminded me of somthing that happened to one of my grandmother's friends seven or so years back. She had a 73 chevy truck w/ 454/th400, her husband died so she was in the dark about auto repair. She took the truck in to have the motor and tranny rebuilt, Ill say she took it to a less than reputable shop (they were stupid too) insted of rebuilding HER motor and tranny they just replaced it with an old 454/th400 they had lying around. Long story short, she went to sell the truck last year and it turns out the motor was an original LS6 454 w/matching th400. It ran like crap but it had all the ls6 stuff none-the-less.

True story. Real short. An automobile or a truck or whatever is a person's means of transportation. If it is stolen, that person may not have a way to get from point A to B.
Not all that long ago in our history, a horse was a person's means of transportation. Horse stealing used to be a hanging offense. What happened? Horse stealing, car stealing---------it's EXACTLY the same. Hang'um!
By the way Gene,
I never was much of a bird person, I prefer a person as a friend, like J.P.Sauer. About 200gr though, a little faster.
