I was wondering if anybody could verify the proper application of GM p/n's 5959510 and 5959509. I have a chance to purchase these NOS plastic inner fender wells but want to make sure they are correct for a '70 Chevelle SS. These p/n's are not listed in the assembly manual.

I can't find anything on these parts in my records but, from the part numbers, I can tell that these were engineered by GM's Guide division probably for a 1967 or later model. All front fender skirts I can identify have Chevrolet part numbers so I doubt that yours will fit any Chevrolet. Factory Assembly Manuel shows '70 front fender skirts as 3963203 & 204. These appear to be plactic. Hope this helps.

68-72 Chevelle "skirt assembly" steel: 6264843(was 3992603?)-LH, 3992604-RH

could not find plastic wells although I found the dust shields for them

probably not much help

I have a better idea. Forget the part numbers you have, and I'll sell you the original plastic inner fenders off my '70 SS which I'll be removing in the next week. I have found a set of steel replacements and just sent the check to the guy, today. If interested, my email address is haneks@wdni.com
