Speaking of Power Steering, can someone clear this up for me? I have a 67 SS. I had manual steering. I had the box rebuilt but they lost the pitman arm. I have a center link that I bought from a regular parts store 7 years ago. It fits my idler arm. The rebuilder replaced the pitman arm they lost. I was too small for the center link! So I went and got a power gear box from a 67. I pulled the pitman arm. It fit my center link, but was too big for the manual gear box! Is it true that 67 SS cars with manal steering had center links that were bigger or what? I ended up going with a complete power setup because the power pitman arm fit my center link. One thing I know for sure: All 67 Chevelle pitman arms were not the same!

As far as I know, the center link and pitman arm were different between manual and power steering. If converting, you need these items as well as the pump, box, pulleys, hoses and brackets.
