I'm going to describe this as best as possible, because I'm not sure what the part that I need is called...

On the linkage that goes to the carb, there is supposed to be some kind of round bushing that holds the piece from moving around, but I'm missing it. My throttle has been getting stuck and I'm worried that it's gonna get stuck at the wrong time! Can I purchase this piece on its own? If so, from who?

Thanks,
Gino

I assume you are talking about the parts for the early model cars with the solid rod, not the cable type.
There is a nylon sleeve GM3866271 and a rubber bushing GM3794377.Still available from Chevy dealer. The same parts are used on both ends of the rod.

Gino, I picked up a rubber bushing that fits in the hole in the throttle arm ( the one off the firewall) at a resto shop. The throttle rod fits right in there, washers and a kotter pin hold it firmly in place. On the carb side, Holley sells a numbers of various adapters. HPH
