How do you remove an inside door handle from a '67 Malibu? I can't see anything holding it on?

there`s a wire retainer clip behind it that locks it on the shaft, just pull it out and it`ll fall off.

We are getting waaay too big for our own good. There was an excellent topic on this quite awhile ago and I can't find it http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif

The closest I got was: http://www.chevelles.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/003277.html

We may have to enlist a couple of members to try and help archive some of the better topics and answers so they are easy to find.

There are several possibilities here: First is to get get the right tool to push off the "omega" clip , second is to drag a rag through the area between the handle and the door panel ,another is to use a putty knife to push the clip out , and of course the use of nuclear weapons should not be under-estimated.

Hey! Don't forget the almighty, slighty bent, screw-driver. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif I used the same one for years. Rick..

Ah my multi purpose seal picks get so much use! One with a 90 degree end, or better one with a hook, makes short work of them darn clips!

What I need are GOOD window handles to replace the crappy ones my dad bought at a local parts store?

I haven't done this in a while, but if I remember correctly just install the clip in the handle and then push it onto the protruding stud. It should snap in - then you're done!

Nobody has mentioned holding a small fishing hook with a pair of needle nose pliers and "fishing" for that !@#$%^& clip. Now someone has.
