Gentlemen, I need to buy a set of stock type valve covers for my 427. I've bought the ultra thick FelPro gaskets and hope that the covers fit over my "cheapie" Crane roller rockers. I've seen them as high as $120, but am intrigued by the TD specialties covers listed in my Summit catalog for $60 some odd. Any expereince with these? I've heard that some of the less expensive ones leak. Do the drippers interfere with the rollers?

Gene,

I ran a set of those for a while on my 396, & edelbrock heads. I also used the thick fel-pro's with the steel core & they never leaked. I did use a cheap set of rubber gaskets first & they leaked around the back corners.

I just recently switched to Moroso's because my rocker arms (non-roller) were tapping the valave covers & i was a little scared about that...

Also, they don't have the drippers on the TD covers. just a baffle for the breathers.

Jake , thanks. Tapping isn't good, I hope I don't get screwed up by my decision to run roller rockers. I want a stock look.
