I'm looking for suggestion for a good "rumpity" cam for the 402 BB I'm building. I plan to keep it streetable so I'd like to find something thats not too wild but still has some thump. I've got a 3000 stall converter, power brakes,750CFM Carb, and closed chamber oval port heads.

I've got a Lunati (225 @.50/.474 lift/108 LSA)cam in a small block right now and I really like how it thumps.

Any suggestions on what cam I should consider would be appreciated. TIA

I'm running Comp 286H Magnum in my 396. Has .556" lift at 286 adv. duration. Low end suffers a little, but there's plenty of that to be had anyway. Screams up in the mid 6k's. I love it, but the vaccuum isn't great.

Comp XE274H, works 1800 to 6000 rpm, advertised duration in/274 ex/286, at .050 in/230 ex/236, lift in/.552 ex/.555, 110 lobe separation ;)

I second the comp xe274h,has a nice lope at idle (850 rpm).I have a b+m 2400 holeshot convertor(stalls to 2800) with 3.08 gears,pulls very hard to 5500rpm :D

Compression is?? Gears are??? If you would like to make more power than any of the cams given, you should consider a solid grind.UD 276/284F8. Think 3000 stall is enough for the cam, and it wants between 9.6 and 10.3:1. 110 lsa version will idle smoother.
